Mindfulness Program

VBIS has introduced our drop-in group Mindfulness program. Led by Lucy, a counselling student doing her practicum with VBIS, and Evelyn, one of VBIS’s amazing volunteers who has experience in nursing, counselling, and group facilitation.

Each week, participants will explore grounding exercises, gentle seated movement, breathing exercises, journaling, goal-setting, guided meditation, and gather knowledge about how to stay mindful. All activities planned are adaptable to each participant’s needs.

Each lesson will build upon mindfulness skills so that our clients can take this powerful knowledge and practice into their day-to-day lives. If you are interested in learning more, we invite you to experience this program! Sessions are held weekly on Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:30 am. We look forward to seeing you there and growing our mindfulness together.

If you’re a brain injury survivor and haven’t participated in VBIS programs before, learn more about how to get started here.
