Education is one of the most powerful tools we have to prevent brain injury, reduce stigma, and build a more supportive community. Through our free presentations, we help people better understand brain injury, support survivors, and create safer, more inclusive spaces.
Community Presentations
Brain injury affects more than 1.5 million Canadians, yet many people know little about its causes, effects, or how to support someone living with one. Our free, customizable presentations help workplaces, schools, community groups, and organizations better understand brain injury, support survivors, and learn about the programs and services available through VBIS.
Helping People SHINE
Build awareness and help prevent brain injuries through education. SHINE (Student Head Injury Neuro Education) is a free 60-minute interactive presentation that helps participants understand how to prevent, recognize, and respond to brain injuries and concussions.

SHINE Discover builds participants’ understanding of the brain and brain injury while exploring concussion awareness, prevention strategies, and ways to support someone affected by a brain injury.
