Music Therapy & Creative Art
The Music Therapy Program provides brain injury survivors with the opportunity to access an alternative method of rehabilitation. Our music therapist uses music and clinical interventions to help clients improve, maintain, and restore an optimal state of well-being. Music, being common to all cultures, enables people to feel a sense of belonging, to have identity and to creatively express themselves. Music therapy can be used to promote, maintain and restore mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health.
This is a drop-in group that meets in-person on Mondays from 12:15pm-2:15pm.
Feeling extra musical? We also have a Music Drop-In/sing-along session every Thursday over Zoom from 11:00am-1:00pm.
Contact our Inreach Team for an appointment to learn more about this group!
This program focuses on art as therapy and welcomes everyone interested in the art-making processes. No experience is necessary. Together we will explore the world of Visual Arts and learn how to expand your creativity and unleash your imagination. With an open studio structure you are free to work on your own project or a theme offered by the facilitator. Supplies are provided.
CAP is a drop-in program that runs every second Wednesday from 3:15pm to 5:00pm.
